I am a voice teacher located in Henrico, Virginia, currently offering voice lessons online and in-person to vaccinated students in the Richmond metro area. I help students of all ages develop their authentic voice through healthy vocal technique, and mindset tools to help boost their confidence while singing. No genre is off-limits when it comes to lessons with me---I specialize in classical, pop, and alternative styles, but I welcome students that are seeking to sing the types of music that they love. My students have been selected to the Virginia All-State Chorus; have been selected as finalists and semi-finalists in the national Hal Leonard vocal competition (art song and musical theatre categories); have been named winners in the Texas UIL State Solo/Small Ensemble contest, and perform in school & local theatre productions. As an operatic performer, I have sung the roles of Gretel (Hansel & Gretel), the Sandman & Dew Fairy (Hansel & Gretel), Luci Johnson (Lady Bird), Celia (Iolanthe), and have performed in various operatic choruses. In my own vocal studies, I studied with world renowned mezzo-soprano Patricia Miller and accomplished baritone Dr. Oliver Worthington. If you're ready to explore your authentic voice AND boost your confidence when it comes to singing, let's chat!

I began teaching when I was an undergraduate, offering lessons to friends and family friends. It was really satisfying to see my students' faces light up when they really "got" a new singing technique, and it made me even happier to see them succeed at local competitions and see them performing locally.
I work with students 11 & up, and currently teach a mix of middle/high school age students as well as adults. While my students range from beginner to advanced, my main goal as a teacher is to help my students experience more joy & confidence in their singing.
No matter what genre my students decide to study, I aim to give them the tools for healthy vocal technique so that they can sing fearlessly and authentically.
