Phil Holland Guitar Lessons

I began teaching guitar when I was 16 years old, traveling to each students home. After attending college, I returned to Roanoke and taught music at my own location for several years. I have been the Music Director/Lesson Coordinator at Fret Mill Music Co. for many years. I have played with some of Roanoke’s biggest bands in my career. Whether you want to learn to play rhythm guitar, learn to jam, or just play along with your favorite songs I can help you.I am a very versatile teacher who is capable of teaching the country style of Hank Williams, to the Beatles; or even Metallica. My musical tastes range from Les Paul to Joe Satriani; as well as the new Christian rock bands. l teach by note, tablature and ear. I hope you will consider me when making up your mind for a teacher.

I enjoy watching students grow and develope their skills in playing the guitar. I enjoy teaching as much today as I did when I was going door to door teaching guitar and bass when I was 16 years old!
