Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I use a variety of teaching methods and curricula- I find the best match for each student to provide an individualized learning plan! Everyone learns differently, and what works for one student may not work as well for the next. Flexibility is key!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took 10 years of private piano instruction as a child and teenager, and majored in piano pedagogy (teaching) and performance in college. I studied at Campbell University and graduated from Methodist University with a degree in music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a monthly tuition rate that is very reasonable. Lessons are either 30 minutes or 1 hour, weekly.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, from preschoolers to senior citizens! I have also taught not only beginnning and intermediate students, but pianists at an advanced level.
