Guitar has been a hobby of mine for the last 13 years. I'm not traditionally trained but I have learned bits and pieces since then.

How did you get started teaching?
People become discouraged when they learn guitar (or really any instrument). I want to not only provide helpful lessons but also be an accountability coach in that regard.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Comes down to, what are your goals? Do you want to shred like John Mayer? Do you want to learn an easy four chords? Do you want to learn the fingering (PIMA) method?
Different teachers are going to have different specializations and approaches. Choose accordingly based on your needs as a student.
