About
At Palisades Security Group, we provide a student tailored course that starts at basic hand to hand self defense, all the way up to using different weapon systems such as knives, fire arms, and even scarves. Palisades was founded by Alex White, an 8 year Navy and private security Veteran that has been to many dangerous places around the world. Alex takes self defense to a basic level, having his students learn how to us their own intuition and instincts to help recognize threats and defend themselves.
The work we do at Palisades comes from the passion and drive to bring safety and security to the community. Our goal is to help men, women, and children feel confident in their ability to protect themselves and the things they love. courage goes a lot further with preparation.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I sit down and get to know my students, what they are looking to accomplish. though my training it is not the easiest, my main goal is to train the mind to go from the victim's mindset, to the warrior's mindset.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
between me and my partner, we have over 20 years of military and private security work under our belts.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing varies on courses and continuation of training. The more classes you attend, the cheaper it will be. Typically it's 125 dollars a session.
How did you get started teaching?
I decided while I was overseas that the skills and knowledge I had should be provided to civilians and people in my community, my goal is to create people with skill and confidence to protect themselves.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked mostly with young ladies who have concerns for their personal safety but have trained squads of men and woman alike through my time in the military.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research, marital arts and self defense is grea but you want effective training for what you are looking to achieve. I teach a down to earth and basic course that works more with the mind than the body. Many martial arts these days are practiced as sports, while the training is still good, youre training in a sport, not a life or death scenario.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How can this training be used in my day to day life?
has this training worked for you in the past?
How often would I need to train to be proficient in this art?
