What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to discuss musical goals and experience, and get to know one another.
Over the first few lessons, we can get an idea of a timeline to achieve those goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've played classical and ragtime piano for 16 years, and guitar for 12.
I've taught lessons privately off and on for 6 years.

Prices can be negotiated, I typically charge between 25-35 dollars per lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was taking lessons, there was a younger boy who had booked the slot after mine to learn. He and I ended up chatting, enjoying one anothers company, and playing duets together. This was my first teaching experience.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught students of different gender and circumstance ages 6-25, beginner to intermediate levels of experience.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone you connect with, someone you enjoy talking with, and someone to share respect with.
