Jack Parker’s Music Lessons

Ive played with a lot of great guitar players over the years, but Jack stands out in many ways that many folks might not notice. His better form (adapted to a cut finger) enables him to play fast with clarity. His sense of rhythm and timing, so often the weakness of guitar players with lots of licks, binds the song and elevates those around him to a more professional level. His melodic, narrative approach to soloing (not overplaying) turns breaks into meaningful parts of songs that can communicate their own message and move an audience forward (rather than making them lose track of where they are). Hes also wise enough to know that the reason you dont sound good isnt lack of an effects peddle...which is one reason hes been my personal gear advisor for years. Being a great guitar player is so much more than learning the scales and chords. I would think there are few guitar players--even advanced ones--who would not benefit from spending at least a few hours with this guy, even if its just talking about approaches to guitar performance and recording. And I wholeheartedly endorse Jack for anybody who wants to build a strong foundation that can take them far in the rock world and beyond, regardless of age.
