Steve has been teaching at Cascade Music Studios for the past 18 years. Applying techniques learned from years of playing live and in studio to create a method giving students a solid foundation to pursue and perform in any style of music they desire. Specializing in Electric, Classical, and Acoustic Guitar Lessons, and Ukulele.
I love helping others reach their musical goals! Playing a musical instrument is very enjoyable endeavor. Seeing the joy in my students eyes as they advance and accomplish things they first thought they couldn’t.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Steve became a paid musician at the age of 14 with his own band playing school dances.
By the time he was a senior he was hired
by Sexton Music to teach guitar. After several years of teaching,
playing, and college, Steve turned full time professional musician
and traveled the west coast playing six nights a week.
You can find Steve performing on one of the many
Casino stages in Western Washington with, the Dana Osborn Band.

Lessons are held once a week for 30-40 min. rates are $120.00 per month.
How did you get started teaching?
After taking guitar lesson starting at the age of 5, I had the privilege of studying under several influenceial professors in my late teens. I was introduced to a local Music store owner and instructor who after verifying I was competent hired me to teach beginners Guitar lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach all levels, beginners to advanced. As well as all ages.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
To be successful at anything you must dedicate time to it. Studends need time to practice their skills. Guitar playing involves muscle memory, that need time and repetitions. Be sure and set time away daily to practice.
