I teach in 2 locations, all ages and levels and the lessons are matched to specific goals of the student. Lessons are always fun and informative.
I play finger-style jazz and blues, my roots were in Classical guitar.
I teach note reading, tab, song writing, improvisation and most contemporary popular styles. You can also learn electric bass, ukulele, mandolin and pretty much anything else with strings on it. Check out my website at www.guitarbyford.com

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to encourage younger students to learn to read music early on. It doesn't take long usually 6-8 weeks to get the basics. Then chords and basic rhythms. Then songs. I let students choose as many songs as they like - based on the music they want to learn.
I develope a practise routine for older students with a style in mind to get them where they want to go as soon as possible. Even if they are complete beginners.
