I have taught guitar at Tacoma Commutity College and Green River community college for over 30 years and have taught over 8000 students. I have bee a professial musician all that time, have played thousands of gigs and logged hunderds of hours as a studio musician, played on many records.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first questions I ask every new student is "what kind of music do you like?" and "Tell me what songs you'd most like to learn". Then it's a matter of finding the right song that is at the student skill level, and going from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught college musis classes for over 30 years to over 8000 students, as well as being a full time pro musician.

Lessons are $25 per half hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching private lessons when I was 18 years old.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught students as young as 5 and as old as 78, and all ages in between.
