Hello my name is Matt an ive been playing guitar for 30 years. My approach to guitar instruction is like passing the torch in a relay. You still have to put the work in yourself to get where you want to go but what I know can help you shave years off the process. Most of what I offer is for beginner to intermediate players so mostly people starting out fresh. If you have all your chords an a few of the scales then you dont need me. However if you dont then you should contact me thanks.
My journey started as a teenager an has matured into a solid player who has lots to offer anyone just getting started in guitar an wants to skip all the years of fumbling an stumbling blindly an have someone experienced show them the ropes.
What I enjoy is passing the torch to the next player sharing the knowledge of guitar an the thank you calls years later.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First meeting is a greeting with an interview on guitar if your without I can also provide an instrument for lessons.
Basically an appraisal of what you know an where your at by watching an listening to you play. We go from there an im very flexible in the way of schedule but thats also on the table when meeting.
Typically we go from chording an strumming on to scales an arpeggios from there its personal preference but a solid foundation is a great place to start.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Again just years of guitar an all the fun along the way have turned me into a solid player an its time to pass it on to the next wave of guitar heros.

How did you get started teaching?
A pro musician friend has been in his band for over a decade suggested the idea to me an as it turns out it he wasnt the first one to mention it to me I just never had the time to teach. Now im older an I feel the time is right.
