About
Hi my name is Joey Archer and I am the owner of Jammin' Music Studios. We are Olympia's largest music studio. Our instructors teach over 500 lessons a week. We love what we do and we work with all ages. Our focus is always to get you playing the music you love as well as work on the basics and fundamentals.
Students are often asked what their goals are, what type of music they've been listening to, etc. Then our instructors focus the lesson around that. It has worked very well for us because we remember taking lessons and learning the music we loved.
All lessons are taught one-on-one between the instructor and student. Don't waste your time with group guitar lessons where the instructor's attention is split between multiple students.
We'd love to invite you to a free meet and greet lesson so you can meet us and we can get to know you. This gives us a chance to answer any questions you have and for you to see our facilities.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students we explore several subjects.
1. What do you already know? What songs can you play? What chords do you know?
2. Why are you wanting to take lessons? What is your motivation or goal for the lesson?
3. What type of music do you like or are interested in learning? What bands do you listen to? Is there a particular song you're interested in learning?

Our lessons are based on a monthly rate of $88-$92 a month. This is $22 to $23 a lesson. Each lesson is 30 min once a week, but longer lessons can always be arranged.
