Jessica Blinn Music

Hello! My name is Jessica. How fun you are looking into music lessons.

I am a voice and violin teacher, choir director and voice coach based out of Olympia WA. I am also a professional Jazz singer. In addition to teaching privately, I am the choir director at Evergreen College, the voice instructor at South Puget Sound Community College and conduct the Olympia Jazz Singers.

My passion is working with students to bring out their true voices, and give them tools and techniques to masterfully make music they love. I consider myself a butler to your musical goals!

I strive to make lessons fun and enlivening, while teaching the fundamentals of vocal technique, storytelling, performance technique and improv (for these interested).

I have taught for over 15 years, working with students of all ages and levels on these styles: Classical, Musical theater, Jazz, Pop, Folk and Speech. My teaching is rooted in my classical training, with an emphasis on healthy breathing, good posture and alignment.

I got my masters in opera from the San Francisco Conservatory, and have performed opera, musical theater, straight theater, sung in professional choirs and pop bands. I now perform jazz and swing all over the Northwest.
