Music has made my life meaningful and I'm passionate about making it a positive part of your life as well! Lessons are tailored to your specific needs -- adults, children, beginners, advanced players, classical, jazz, pop, and video game music are all welcome in my studio.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Your first lesson is always free! We'll discuss your goals, what music you like, and figure out whether I'm the best person to help you. If we agree to move forward, I'll help you accomplish what you're most excited about, with suggestions from myself.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a music degree from Western Washington University and have been teaching piano for over four years. I also work as a music director and musician for a local church, and write songs of my own.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $60 for 40-minutes and $80 for 55-minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always loved music myself, and I've had an incredibly varied joureny with wonderful opportunities. I'd love to share my experience with others and give them the help they need to enjoy music for life!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with all kinds of students. From pre-school age to beginning adults, all are welcome in my studio.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
For older students and adults, why do you want to learn music? What goals do you have? Do you feel like your prospective teacher is a good personality fit to be your partner in your learning?
For families of younger beginners (any student under 11), ask yourselves if you're willing to sit in on lessons when you can, and be an integral part of practice. If famlies are aware of what goes on in lessons and can help support practice at home, the student makes noticably more progress (which means we get to do even more fun music).
