My teaching approach:
My course of study is designed with the individual student in mind and I solicit maximum input from students, especially when it comes to the styles to be studied. I do not use European music notation and seldom use tablature. I teach the guitar as an "ear" instrument.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student is a beginner I start with left-hand technique (presuming the student is right-handed) working on chords and transitions between chords. Then we move on to picking and strumming patterns for the right hand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i have a Masters degree in music composition.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$40 for thirty minutes, $50 for 45 minutes, $60 for sixty minutes. I recommend 45 minutes for adult guitar students.
