About

Teaching is what I love to do. Ever since I first played the guitar in high school, I knew that I wanted to help people learn to play and understand music. After 13 years, my passion hasn't waivered and I am still just as excited to teach as I was back then. My passion has only been fueled by my education in music in my college years where I studied music education and performance. All of my experience has been in the Inland Northwest and I currently reside and teach from Spokane, WA.

Frequently asked questions

When working with new students, I make sure that we are solid on the basics such as string names, holding the guitar, tuning, anatomy, and getting a quality tone from the guitar. We will then progress into interpreting chords and simple melodies to familiarize ourselves with tab, diagrams, and sheet music (if desired). The focus at the beginning should be on facility and getting comfortable with this new tool of yours while having an enjoyable experience with little pressure.
