My teaching approach:

Hi! I'm Ryan. I teach and play bass professionally right here in Spokane Washington. I've played for nearly two decades and have substantial live, teaching and studio experience. As a student of Musicians Institute B.I.T program and also the Metro Denver music program I teach theory, technique, tone, sound management and the latest styles of Wooten, Clarke, Manring, Miller Martinie and more. I play a Modulus Q4, Laguna Custom and Fender Squire basses and teach through Ampeg amps in a professional music studio at affordable rates for all levels of player. I look forward to hearing from you.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

First lessons are evaluation with simple questions for displaying theory. Do you know your scales, modes, notes, can you read tab, sheet music, nashville numbers and just as important, keep time. After this evaluation is finished, an opportunity to display your chops and coolest licks to identify starting points for technique and what to move onto next.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

I am the owner and founder of Bass Matter. I teach using the same system I provide online with a fun and effective approach to music. Charts, ear training and improvisation.
