About
I have certifications in many different areas from personal training, TRX, corrective exercises and sports performance. I’ve serviced over 1000 personal training and boxing lessons. I’ve trained corporate executives, and police to middle school students and retirees. I don’t have one style of coaching; I adapt to the needs, goals and skill level of my clients.
The most enjoyable aspect of my work is when clients are validated by achieved results. Their apprehension for making a big time, and financial commitment are outweighed by crushing their original goals and setting new ones. You’re making a lifestyle change, and it’s great to see the transition clients make.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When taking on a new student we always sit down and discuss goals, history with physical fitness, prior or current injuries and any other medical conditions the student may have. This is free of charge. If there’s time, I take the student through a workout to assess his or her skills, fitness level and grit. This is also free of charge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have competed as an amateur boxer and have been boxing for 7 years. My certifications have more to do with personal training (NASM CPT, TRX NASM PES) but I’ve coached boxing hands-on for 5 years with a few clients.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing changes based on a couple of factors:the amount of sessions purchased in a single transaction and whether or not I’m training a single student or multiple (no more than 2). I also offer half hour sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
I became a personal trainer in 2010. I was unhappy at my previous job and wanted to do something challenging, rewarding, fun and lucrative. Personal training checked all of those boxes. I started boxing in 2012 to find a new sport to be involved in. I immediately fell in love with the sport. I wanted to learn the right way to throw a punch and I hired a boxing coach to teach me. As my skill improved I started to incorporate it with interested clients. The beauty of boxing is it improves your cardiovascular strength without having to be punched. It’s a great workout!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have a wide spectrum of students/clients. I have students who only want the cardiovascular benefits and clients who like to spar and do sports specific drills. I teach proper technique to ALL students regardless of their goal. As a boxing coach, I’ve trained a middle school student to a 50 year old software engineer.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I filmed a boxing session with a student 6 months ago. Recently with the same student, we filmed another session. The comparison in skill was day and night.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don’t hire a coach based only on fight resume. Being a good boxer and a good boxing coach are different skill sets. The best players in any sport do not always make the best coaches. The same is true for boxing.
