Every lesson is personalized to the individual student. Student's interests and goals feature prominently in the repertoire. Student may perform in public as much or as
little as they wish.
I'm ecstatic to work with anyone with an interest in music. I meet the student at the level they are; my job is to 100% support the student, whatever it takes. I include history, theory, analysis, rhythm training as well as notation.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Discuss student's goals. Advise repertoire at appropriate levels. Introduce technique and theory in a timely way.

Bachelor of Arts degree.
Thirty years experience.
100's of hours of on-going education through professional memberships, conventions, workshops.

How did you get started teaching?
A passion for music since age 7. Desiring to share that passion upon graduation from college. Have developed a question/inquiry process that guides the student to discover for themselves the concept needed to be taught.

Averge students and exceptional students.

Autistic students, ADHD students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet the person and talk generally for 20-30 minutes. Ask about studio policies regarding illness, vacations and holidays.
