About

I found my love for singing when I was very young. I would sing in my school's choirs and production because performance gave me a great rush, which makes music worth it. I want to helpe people find that rush or passion and help them make it to the best of their abilities and mine. I have been singing since I could talk and had the biggest aspirations to be a big pop star.

I was trained in singing and piano from a child all the way to when I reached middle school. After I decided I wanted to take up a new instrument which is my second favorite instument, next to singing, the guitar. I took guitar lessond from 6th grade until I reached 9th grade of high school. I regained my passion for singing once again, but I had a huge problem; puberty had killed my voice. I decided I had to go back to singing lessons for vocal therapy and become comfortable in my new voice. I rejoined my school chorus to sing in masses and school productions.

Fast-forward to college, I have been taking undergraduate vocal classes with my Doctorate of Musical Arts voice teacher where we have studied in multiple contrasting styles of music with a specialty in the classical/operatic and music theater styles. This would entail that no matter what type of vocal style you want to sing, I can help you achieve.

My specialties include: playing/singing by ear alone and helping individuals develop this necessary skill as needed, bringing out the voice a student never thought they had, having a wide singing range helps me to also teach students with lower and higher voices to the same degree through personal experience, and help students learn to play an instrument (i.e. the piano, uke or guitar) while singing to unlock their star potential.

I love passion, raw untamed passion. These students are the best to teach. If you have commitment and a passion for singing, then we can work well together. My favorite part about teaching is when students tap into that hidden area and roar.

Frequently asked questions

First of all, I would try to have a sit-down one-on-one meeting with the individual to discuss their past music history, their aspirations and goals, and their likes and preferences. Following the meeting to our first lesson, I would begin by bringing the student to a piano to examine their vocal range, while making sure that everything is sounding like it is in good working order. After this process I can properly help them make music.

I have been trained by multiple voice teachers during my life, including a private experience based teacher, a performance experience based teacher, and a doctor of musical arts teacher.

I prefer my lessons to be done in intervals of 30 minutes, that way I can provide students with the proper amount of instruction in a reasonable time. So if you would like to have an hour lesson, I would charge two 30 minute sessions, but is very maneagable. I charge $25 per 30 minute online lesson.
