Muse/icality Piano Studio
About
I strive to instill in my students a lifetime of music appreciation by giving them the tools to read and play music. My students learn to have fun with themed recitals and entertaining music selections, and they learn to be creative with improvisation and composition. I encourage students to include creative and fun playing in their weekly practicing.
Currently I am teaching lessons virtually. My students are in the Winneconne and Oshkosh areas. However, I live in Appleton and hope to have a home studio ready within the year.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet with the new student and one or both of their parents for their initial lesson to assess skill level, familiarity with the piano, general musical knowledge, and their goals for lessons. It gives us all a chance to get to know one another.
I provide all students with a lesson binder to hold lesson sheets, worksheets, etc. I use an excellent lesson book series to work at the student's own pace and supplement with appropriate materials as needed. All music books are loaned from my music library at no cost to the student unless the student wishes to keep the book or the book is irreparably damaged/destroyed/lost.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Music is in my blood. My dad is a (recently retired) band director and my mom incorporates music daily in her home daycare. I studied piano K-12 under Mrs. Mary Pingry in Oshkosh. After high school I continued to play piano in my college's jazz band and accompanying soloists in the music department.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My lesson rates are comparable and competitive for the area. I charge $15.00 per 30-minute lesson per student. If additional siblings of the same household also wish to take lessons I do offer a multiple student discount ($10.00 per 30-minute lesson for each additional student). Pricing is evaluated prior to the beginning of each school year and if rates will be changing I will provide updated pricing in writing before lessons begin in September.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work mostly with beginners in their first 5 years of lessons, but I love working with students of all ages and skill levels.
