Rythm Guitarist: Brendan Hanrahan / Scott Moore
About
I’m Brendan, and I offer personalized guitar lessons designed around your unique style and goals. Whether you’re just picking up a guitar for the first time, strumming for fun, or dreaming of rocking the stage, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
Now, let’s ditch the cookie-cutter “AI blanket statement.” I’m not a robot—I’m a real guitarist who’s been playing rhythm guitar since I was 14. My dad taught me the basics, and from there, I took it upon myself (with some help from talented friends) to grow my skills.
Since I’m somewhat new to Eau Claire and just getting into the local music scene, I thought, Why not share what I’ve learned with others? I offer a relaxed, easy-going teaching style with plenty of patience to help you build confidence and progress at your own pace. My lessons are tailored to suit everyone, from absolute beginners to players at my level.
Here’s what I bring to the table:
🎸 I can play by touch, learn songs by ear, and figure out chord progressions just by watching other players’ hands.
🎵 I’ve played solo, jammed with bands, written original songs, and collaborated with artists through recording and production stages.
🎤 Growing up in a musical family, I’ve met some incredible musicians (yes, some famous ones too!) who continue to inspire me to keep learning and sharing.
My specialties include rhythm guitar with a focus on classic rock, metal, and blues. But don’t worry—I can dive into jazz, reggae, pop hits, and more. Whether you want to master power chords or serenade someone with a ballad, I’ve got you covered.
Here’s how our lessons will work:
We’ll start by evaluating your current skill level.
I’ll cover the basics: holding and positioning your guitar, maintenance, tuning, stringing, and the tools you need.
You’ll learn to read chord charts, tabs, and basic music theory to unlock your full potential.
Patience is key (for both of us!). I’ll help you push through those frustrating moments when you feel stuck because I know firsthand how rewarding it is to overcome them. My goal is to teach you in a way that fits you. We’ll track your progress together and adjust as needed to make sure your expectations are always met—or exceeded.
And one more thing—I’m here to make this fun. I have plenty of great stories from my time in the music world to keep things interesting. Ultimately, my goal is to get you to the point where we can sit down and jam together, creating something amazing.
