I desire to see students of all ages discover their gifting and watching it come alive. I have taught piano for 19 years and have also an Associates of fine Arts in Music. It's important that they fully enjoy it and have passion whether it be to play professionally or for enjoyment only.
I love connecting and interacting with my students and enjoy seeing them grow reaching their fullest potentional.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love to get to know them as each individual is so unique!
As we first begin meeting I like to build the basic foundations of identification of piano keys, note recognition, rhythm, note values, hand position and scales.
I love to encourage any creative skills and if a student shows interest in creating songs I love helping expand them even more in this gifting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had 19 years of teaching experience as well as have graduated with an Associates degree in fine arts in music. I also was mentored by a former teacher who had many years of teaching experience and helped shape me in my early years of beginning to teach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I always offer a free introductory lesson to allow for the potential student to see if this is a fit for them. Also I like to allow for the opportunity to not only meet the family member(s) but answer any details and further questions they may have.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a student at the time taking classes at my college and had decided to create a flyer and begin by posting a few on the music floor.
I received my first 2 students at that time.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach kids, teens and adults of a wide variety of ages, from 4-60's.
Levels of beginner to early advanced.
