I have been providing piano lessons since 2003. I have an undergraduate degree in music. I have three CDs on the market which have received excellent reviews. I treat every student as an individual and use a customized agenda. I relate well to young minds. I strive to make lesson time pleasant and enjoyable. My prime objective is to provide students with skills that they can enjoy for a lifetime. I enjoy performing improvisations and have a structured approach to teach improv. It is based on having the student learn standard skills and progress to more creative applications.
Mainly I enjoy observing the progress that is made and knowing that I have a positive contribution to their life.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For beginners, I start with a standard primer-level method book, and progress according to the student's evolving profile. For transfer students, I start with an assessment of their skills profile and optionally an indication of preferred areas of study.
