FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Every student learns the basics. From there students learn how to properly defend themselves, jump rope, combinations on the heavy bag, combinations with focus mitts. They learn how to properly hit the speed bag and students will do a number of different exercises they will get them into the best shape of their lives.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 25 years of boxing experience. I'm also a certified boxing instructor. With the Box n Burn Academy.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Pricing varies depending on the student needs.

How did you get started teaching?

i was a student at one point. As I got older and stop competing. I was asked by my former coach to help out with teaching. As time went on I worked for a number of boxing and fitness facilities.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've worked with all types of great students. I work with moms just looking to get into the best shape of their lives and maybe even learn some self defense. I've worked with students as young as 4years old. Girls and boys. And I've also worked with the elderly just for fitness.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

To ask about the instructors experience. To make sure the instructor is certified.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Just be clear on what it is you want to do. Some students like to get into boxing for fun and fitness. Some students really want to compete. Whatever it is the student would like to do just take your time and it will come to you naturally.
