Hello! Thank you for your interest. My name is Catalin Iacob, and I am a professional. I am available to teach piano lessons both live and online. I obtained a doctoral degree in Piano Performance with a piano pedagogy certificate from Texas Tech University and earned an undergraduate degree in Romania. If you are interested in private study, please reach out as I am currently accepting students for both live and virtual lessons. I am currently conducting live lessons in the Racine/Caledonia area. I had not played the piano for many, many years. Dr Iacob has incredibly patience and I learn new things every lesson. He understands and encourages me to meet my goals. At first I thought Dr. Iacob was too qualified to teach a senior citizen such as myself, and I wasn’t sure he would be right for me. I am happy to say I was mistaken and I look forward to ever lesson.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I obtained a doctoral degree in Piano Performance and a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy from Texas Tech University. Up to present I have been teaching piano for 10 years on three continents. I have been working and teaching for a variety of cultures and musical backgrounds.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching music/piano during my undergraduate studies.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have been mentoring students of all ages and musical backgrounds.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Keep looking for a teacher until you find one that you "click" with.
