About

Guitar for Life Studio is celebrating 10 years of making performing guitarists out of all ages. Danny has several programs available such as Foundations, Projects, and Practicing Technique that take students further than what they may be used to in "regular" guitar lessons.

We focus on the player that has always wanted to play, or wanted to excel, and make them better faster than anyone else does. We also focus on children starting out and getting their discipline and practice schedules aligned.

Danny provides both Private and Group lessons. He also provides several workshops and classes throughout the year. He provides several recitals and concerts a year that include playing with major local rockstars on some main stages such as State Fair and large music and food venues in southeastern Wisconsin.

Danny has been playing and teaching guitar for the last 30 years and is currently working with the Jackie Brown Band, The Jammin 4 Kenya Benefits, and continues to do hired gun guitar work upon request. Danny has students playing all over the country such as Orlando, Ft. Collins, and Baton Rouge. Please check out:

I took guitar lessons for many years before, but when you walk into Guitar For Life Studio, you know you are in the right place. Full of guitar magazines, literature, and bios of your favorite artists.
Danny takes the time to listen to his students to find out what motivates them to learn the instrument. He then asks them for their goals and works with them to develop a practice plan.
His method is different from other instructors. It is fun from the beginning. There are no shortcuts with the guitar, you get what you put in. However Danny can keep you on track to maximize your time.

1. The ability to play out in a public setting with a full band (like a public recital)
2. Creating original music and recording. (multi track recordings with lyrics, drums, guitar, etc.)
3. Teachers that understood theory, not just how to use the pentatonic scales.
4. Structured lessons that hold you accountable fo rpracticing
5. Teaching a deeper learning of the instrument via the Berkeley School of Music books.

It was a very lucky day for me when I learned about Guitar for Life from a flier I picked up at Guitar Center. After being taught by Big Mike for awhile, I began taking lessons from Danny. They are both awesome teachers! The encouragement they have given me to get out and play has made a real difference in my life.
Its nice to know that there is still so much to learn - even at the ripe old age of 63!

In just months of starting with GFLS, I surpassed my initial goal to play acoustic guitar as part of a duo. Now I also play acoustic guitar at church, play electric guitar at blues jams, play and sing solo at open mics, and sight-read songs on the fly with friends for fun. Classic rock, blues, folk, and country. Whatever I want to play, I can learn.
If you want to reach and surpass your goals FAST, there’s no better teacher than Danny at GFLS.

Frequently asked questions

Students come in or call for a consultation where I will feel out what their current experience level is. I will ask how they like to learn and I will ask them what they want to play. We will talk about music, about their history, and why the student actually WANTS to be a student! It is really fun and even if you don't stick around, you will probably learn alot about yourself.

As a student growing up I studied at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. I also played in the various Jazz Ensembles and bands in High School. Directly out of school I started playing live and have been doing that for 30 years. I have also been a trainer at two top 10 Forbes companies, showing employees how to exceed their goals and increase their potential. Now that I own the Studio, I take that knowledge for increasing gains and apply it to the student activities.

Pricing is determined by what you want to do. You are not paying for time, you are paying for results. Whether you take a class, practice in a group, take private lessons, or a little of everything, you will get what you put into it. Lessons can be as little as $15 and as much as $35. I will put you into a program where you will get the results that you want and are willing to work for.

I enjoy teaching adult aged guitar enthusiasts. I love their thought patterns and how they learn. I enjoy watching them exceed goals that they never thought that they could attain and watching their family and friends freak out! Haha!

I also enjoy the child beginner. We, as teachers and adults, can make such great impressions on kids. I teach discipline, practice technique, goals, and giving back to their communities through entertainment and talents.

Make sure a teacher asks you what you like. Make sure you a teacher tries different ways of teaching you/your child. I know VERY FEW bad human beings as teachers. I know quite a few teachers that don't have YOUR success and happiness at the heart of what they do.

Nothing worth doing is easy. Make sure that you want to do the work and actually WANT to play your instrument well. If you aren't having fun and working hard, no instruction is going to help you.
