Learning to play the guitar can be a rewarding experience that will enrich your life. I have taught kids, teenagers, young and old adults and have seen the joy of playing the guitar provides them. To make this magic happen I provide teaching methods that are tailored to your needs whether you want just a casual involvement or something deeper. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With a new student to find out what interests, abilities and goals they have and then being mindful of those concerns to tailor their lessons so they can play the music they want to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have BA teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin, attended the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
Woodlands school was my first guitar teaching experience where I taught private guitar lessons. I have taught guitar for over twenty years at Uncle Bob's Music. I have also have taught group guitar lessons at Lydell Community Center, Menomonee Middle School and Webster Middle School in Cedarburg.

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching guitar at local retail music stores with private and group lessons.

All ages and experience level looking for jazz, blues and rock guitar lessons including music theory.

I have recently begun to teach bass guitar.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your teacher is an experienced educator and also performs.
