About
I take an approach that works very well.
Not only teaching you how to play guitar, but by getting you inspired to actually practice guitar.
Find what motivates you. Starting off learning songs you like.
I have children of my own and I would have to say I am great with kids! A big part of teaching anyone really, is patience..... I am very patient.
I have been playing guitar for 25 years.
I have been in bands that have played out and toured all over. The bands I have been in have opened for Evenesence, Filter, Stabbing westward, smashing pumpkins, Slayer, Pantera I was also pretty good friends with the Guffs. My best friend since childhood is in one of the biggest blues bands in the USA. "Tweed funk" Eric Madunic has won best bass player of the year several times at the WAMI'S
Some of my influences: Kirk Hammet, Zakk Wilde, Randy Rhodes, Slash, Richie Sambora, John Fogerty, Lynard Skynard (both guitarist's) Michel Schenker, Rudolf Schenker, Jimmy Page and Jimmy Hendrix. Too many!
When I was 12 or 13 years old, I heard Cliff Burton play pulling teeth. And that was it! So really Cliff Burton was the person who got me inspired to play bass guitar. Then a few years later I heard the solo to fade to black! I said I have to learn that!!!!!!. Lead guitarist ever since.
Thank you, to the late Cliff Burton....
I am a huge fan of 80s hair/ glam metal, classic rock and new rock.
I was also trained at the school of arts in jazz, funk, classical and blues.
I absolutely love to play guitar It has become my entire world!
So for me, to actually help others find something in their own lives that could be that meaningful or make them that passionate about in life makes me feel great.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Without using the time you paid for, ( like most teachers ). I like to have a quick evaluation with each student. A preliminary way to get to know you, your likes and your needs, free of charge.
I also encourage phone calls with any questions you may have between lessons.
Learning guitar can be difficult at times and I want to be there every step of the way.
I also include 1 free duo or facetime brushup class between paid classes.
To help with any technique related issues.
I can assure you each and every one of my students will have fun and enjoy each lesson, there is nothing boring about my methods or personality!
My students always look forward to the next class!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lessons at the Milwaukee conservatory of music.
West division high school of the arts.
In my freshman year I was placed in the advanced class with the seniors.
I have been in bands that played all over the USA

How did you get started teaching?
When I was very young a lot of friends and family would be surprised at how well I could play in such a short amount of time.... And they always asked me to teach them. Eventually I started charging :-)
What types of students have you worked with?
All types anywhere from 4 years old to 65 years old.
I have to say my personality enables me to blend in and mesh with anyone.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Winner of lessons.com best teacher of 2018!
My daughters last school concert!
She practiced really hard and it showed.
I was so proud of her!!!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Talk to the teacher first if possible. Unfortunately sometimes you do not find a great teacher unless you have actually taken the lesson.
Believe me I found out the hard way, so many of my teachers were uninspired and not very friendly at all etc.
Which is why I believe my approach stands out.
I have learned what not to do, I get creative and think outside the box. I need to find out each individual students way to learn. Not a one size fits all mentality.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals?
Why do you want to play guitar?
Will the teacher show me songs I want to learn?
Of course experience.
