About
Trevor has resided in Mobile since 1994. From the year 2000 (his 3rd-grade year), he was awestruck by the sheer power of music. He started playing saxophone at this time, playing in concert and marching bands during his grade and high school careers. In 2005, he discovered rock and roll and picked up a guitar for the first time. He quickly mastered the acoustic, electric, and bass guitars, learning to play several genres of music. His knowledge of music theory and the gift of perfect pitch helped to shape his musical skills.
After graduating high school, he received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Alabama. Since then, he has played lead guitar and bass at multiple churches, most notably Pathway Church - Moffett Campus, and Hollinger’s Island Baptist Church. He has also played bass with Nappie-nominated bands around the Mobile area. His proudest accomplishment is teaching students of all ages in Mobile and Baldwin counties; passing on the love of music. “I love to see a student perform in front of an audience for the first time and see the sense of accomplishment they have in learning to play an instrument!
Trevor states, “As an instructor, I like to gauge the music tastes of my students. Each student is unique, so I teach each student in a way that works for them. The biggest joy a teacher has is when they see their student(s) understand a concept, that moment when the ‘lightbulb comes on.’ As a music teacher, that moment comes when a student learns an entire song and shares it with an audience. Performances and recitals are more than the result of multiple months of practice; they are that moment when students live that rockstar dream! When I see a smile come across a student’s face, there’s nothing like it!”
