Mark Jaster is such a good mentor for me as he has infinite patience and inspiring motivations. Seeing him work with children is impressive. Love the lessons! Thanks, Mark, and Bryon for making LR Frets to come play and meet other musicians in a friendly and safe environment.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Every student is different with varying skills and abilities. So each lesson is tailored to the student with an emphasis on both basic music theory, rhythm, and good technique. Emphasis in different musical genre is also part of the lesson as the student grows toward becoming a complete musician.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

50+ years in playing, performing and teaching.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Lessons are 25.00$ /Hour

How did you get started teaching?

Retired from performing and decided to pass on my skills to those who wish to enhance their own skills.

What types of students have you worked with?

My students have ranged from advanced classical students all the way to those who have never played a single note on an instrument before

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Take some time to meet with the teacher (this should be free !!!) and determine if their teaching style fits with your personality and that they are willing to work with you in a patient manner

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Possible questions usually involve  1)how do you teach 2) can you teach a specific style of playing 3) do you have the ability to have a flexible scheduling system
