About
I have had a passion for teaching music ever since I was in middle school. I had only been playing for a few years at the time but I was already teaching other kids who had less experience than I had.
Since then, I have tried to maintain a few students as time permitted and now I am looking to teach on a full-time basis.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to spend the first lesson getting to know the student, thier current skill level and their goals. If they don't have any goals, I like to help set them. Setting goals gives both the student and myself a clear path to work towards.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, banjo, mandolin and bouzouki for over 40 years. I have been recording, mixing and mastering music for over 30 years. I am self-taught and always motivated to learn how to play new instruments.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. My standard pricing is $35 for a half hour, $45 for a full hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was very young and have always maintained a few students as time permitted between my day job and family life.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginners to advanced players. My youngest student was 10 years old and my oldest student was 68 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The most recent event I am very fond of is my wife graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Project Management. She worked very hard and I couldn't be more proud of her.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Have some goals set for yourself and be sure to communicate those goals with your teacher so the both of you can be on the same page and so the teacher can create a lesson plan that works towards those goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What or who influenced you to want to learn the instrument?
