About
Our Doh-Jahng (Taekwondo School) offers a safe, fun, and interactive Martial Arts experience. All of the instructors are background checked and certified with the American Taekwondo Association to ensure a safe environment for learning. We offer classes for all ages and levels of experience. Our kids program focuses on developing confidence, respect, discipline, and physical fitness through Martial Arts training. Our Adult programs teach traditional Taekwondo as well as constantly updated practical self-defense and fitness concepts.
We opened our doors to the town of Oro Valley and its surrounding communities in September of 2003, all under the same instructor and manager Mr. Kim to this day.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We set up couple of free trial classes for any new students to our school so that you can participate in a class setting, meet the instructors and see the facility. That allows the students and their families to see if we offer the right kind of program they are looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Started training in Taekwondo in 1998 and worked through the ranks and began assisting and teaching early on. Became a certified instructor with the American Taekwondo Association in 2004. Recertification for the instructorship takes place every 3 years. Various weapon training certification in the ATA protech system.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
All new students start in our basic Taekwondo program. It is $179.00/month and includes classes and color belt testing fess.
What types of students have you worked with?
We start teaching students as yong about 3 1/2 years old, depending on the student. Good, quality martial arts program is genuinely recommended by physicians and psychologist and pychiatrist for ADD/ADHD, Autism, Occupational therapy, behavioral therapy. We have first hand experience in working with all of the mentioned above.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The most recent fond moment would be the last belt testing day, Friday, March 10th. I had the pleasure of presenting my long time student and one of my junior instructors her 4th degree black belt after finding out she had passed her testing at the National Championship.
