About
Founded in 2007, the East County Youth Symphony, located in El Cajon, CA, offers a comprehensive after-school music program that is entirely free of charge. Under the leadership of Music Director Alexandra Keegan, the Symphony provides high-quality orchestral education and performance opportunities to young musicians aged between 7 and 26. The Symphony, which has grown from 17 to numerous musicians since its inception, includes two symphony orchestras, a concert band, a chamber orchestra, and a pre-orchestra division for young children. These musicians rehearse weekly and perform 8-10 concerts a year, sharing the spirit of classical music with new audiences.
