What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will assess thier abilities and creative goals. Create a progran of basic knowledge drills mixed with song performance that has educational value built in to it. I believe getting a student to play something day one is important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Berklee College of Music graduate. 2011. Multiple private instructors over 20 year span. Taught at the Recreational Music Center in point Loma for 7 years as head guitar instructor.
How did you get started teaching?
Teaching friends and family. I realized how fun it was to share knowledge.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds young and old. One on one and group classes plus bands.
