Hi, I'm Shannon — a professional touring musician, cellist, guitarist, and audio producer based in the LA area with 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels.

I bring the full picture of what a life in music actually looks like into every lesson. Yes, I teach classical technique and music theory, but I also teach improvisation, composition, contemporary styles, and how to use technology to create and produce your own music. The cello isn't just an orchestra instrument; it's an incredibly versatile, cool instrument that shows up in rock, hip hop, film scores, and experimental music. My goal is to make sure every student sees that.

My lessons are friendly, flexible, and built around you, your goals, and your pace. I offer in-person lessons, remote sessions, and for local students, I love taking things outside to a park or the beach.
