About this pro

I love to watch someone discover the joy of learning music. I have spent most of my life dedicated to getting deeper into music.  In 2010 I graduated from University of Oregon with a degree in Jazz Performance. Since then I have toured the world teaching and performing my own music as well as any style that is putting food on the table that week.  I have taught at School of Rock Lake Oswego(Oregon) and School of Rock Fairfax (Los Angeles).  In 2019 I taught again at the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop, where I have been been attending/teaching since 2004.

I love the fact that anytime I have an instrument in my hand, I am potentially improving and gaining experience!

Yo this guy is amazing! Very transparent and works towards goals that you are interested in, not a standard cookie cutter 12 week guitar course. He's been teaching for 16+ years and you can really see the love he has for teaching when he'll sit with you for an extra 20 minutes past the schedule and not ask for a single dime extra for it. I've taken about 4 weeks of lessons with him and have already booked him for the next 6 months. Absolutely book him before he goes on tour!!

It is not just about hitting the right note, it is about relaxing and really feeling the joy of the music, of the perfect sound. It is an approach that is both unique and effective.

Kenny has been my teacher for over a decade now and has had a gigantic influence on my playing. Guitar, mandolin, and mostly the essence of musicianship. It’s hard not to be inspired around him and I look forward to many more years of learning and jamming. He is definitely the best teacher I’ve had..
