I specialize in getting new student's started on really "playing guitar". Most people give up on learning to play guitar way to soon. I think that there are several reasons for why that occurs and I have spent many years developing and improving a system that has worked for the many hundreds and hundreds of students that I helped to get off on a good start as guitar players. It's called the "Motion Focused Guitar Method" and it works every time. I keep the focus on training movement and "making music" becomes the natural product of that. It's amazing how well it works every time. I take the mystery out of making music and keep the magic in. I have found that learning to play guitar is not about how much talent you have but really about your desire. Its about how bad do you want it. I don't pay much attention to how much talent I think a person has, I look for desire in a person and I nurture and grow that. I really enjoy helping to unconceal the mysteries of making music to people both young and old, and witnessing how easy and quickly someone can learn to play and make music. Most of my Students are able to play a simple two chord song in the first lesson. I take the struggle out of learning so that you will begin to have fun at the first lesson.
