David Alcorn Music

David has been working with our son for a few years now. We started out with lessons at a local music store. It was very slow going. When we started with David, our son started improving rapidly. David is always professional and has a great easygoing style that our son loves. David is also very understanding of schedules and always willing to accommodate our needs when he can. You will not regret choosing David for your lessons!.

David has taught all 3 of my children piano lessons from a very young age. Despite their initial reluctance to take lessons, he turned them around quickly and now they all love music and look forward to their lessons. He has a kind demeanor, and also teaches them “fun” songs (in addition to traditional ones) that keep them interested.

David has been teaching my daughters piano for the past 5 years. I cannot speak highly enough about what a wonderful teacher he is- patient and kind, he has always encouraged and challenged Tess (now 14) and Sophie (now 12) without ever making them feel pressured or that they should be playing or practicing for any reason other than their own love of music and desire to improve.

My son started guitar lessons with Dave several years ago. Thanks to Dave’s versatility, he is now learning to play the piano. His patience with my son is incredible- he knows just what to do to keep him engaged. The appreciation of music my son has gained from learning two instruments is invaluable. My son has had so much fun learning with Dave, that I have also starting taking guitar lessons with him and I can attest that Dave is knowledgeable in a wide range of musical styles, from classic rock to flamenco, slack key to classical.

David is great! He has taught our kids not only to play piano, but more importantly to enjoy it. Thank you so much for giving them the lifelong gift of music!
