About

I teach traditional practical martial arts that I use in active competition on a regular basis. No fake techniques or fake masters here. Everything I use and teach I have applied in competition and it works very well. Whether you want to exercise or learn practical self defense techniques or meet somewhere in the middle, what I teach is not only fun and a good workout but it's actually applicable to real world situations.

Right now that includes Shotokan Karate (2nd Degree Black Belt, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Boxing , Jendo Arnis PH stick fighting (4th Degree Black Belt), Kali Ilustrísimo PH sword and knife, Native American Apache Knife, Intro to Brazilian Jujitsu

I love being able to teach and share martial arts. The self discipline, fitness, and the confidence that comes with training feels amazing. Knowing you can adequately defend yourself in most situations gives you a peace of mind that you truly cannot understand until you achieve it. The biggest gift is being able to share this experience with others in a fun productive manner. The only better feeling than the confidence I've gained is helping someone else achieve the same and watching them grow knowing I helped them along their way. It's one of the most rewarding things I have experienced and that is why I choose to teach martial arts.

Levi bass is an extremely knowledgeable instructor. He is really good with breaking techniques down so that i can understand them better. Hes very flexible. Makes it easier to schedule appointments. He also does video chat lesson. That way you can be at home. Given the current virus outbrake. I highly recommend Levi!

    Frequently asked questions

I generally ask a few basic questions such as what experience you have with martial arts or any sports to learn your coordination level, what your goals are in training so I now what route to take, and then go over some basic drills and workouts to see where you are. Then we can build up once I find the bottom level.

I've been a second degree Blackbelt in Shotokan Karate for 15 years, I recently received my 3rd degree Blackbelt in Jendo Arnis (filipino stick fighting) from Grandmaster Abaya in the Phillipines.  I also train Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee's Art, as well as Brazilian jujitsu for ground games and another filipino art Kali Illustrissimo for sword and knife work. I have been training martial arts for a total of 20 years and have been teaching martial arts for 15 years.

Private one on one customized training begins around $40 an hour. Group sessions will be discounted depending on the size of the group.

I started in my first martial arts school which I believe is pretty normal, as I recieved rank I began to help teach the lower belts. Once I achieved Blackbelt I spent a majority of my class time teaching. As I continue to learn more arts I expand my ability and the variety of arts I am able to teach.

I've taught people from every age range from children to elderly folks, however most often students are around teenage to mid thirties range. I've worked with shy children who weren't sure they wanted to be there and with overly confident adults to complete beginners who have never done anything physical before. I actually enjoy the challenge of bringing a perspective that my students can understand to learn the techniques to the best of their ability.

I recently went to my first World Tournament just 6 months after surgery in 2019. It was in Italy for Kickboxing and managed to take home third place!

Find a instructor that is serious and knows what they are talking about that can be verified and that can make training fun. It doesn't have to be all hard work we can have fun too!

What are your goals for martial arts and what arts will practically meet those goals. Consider how hard training might be for hard arts like Muay Thai where you condition you're body heavily and painfully versus the soft touch of Tai Chi were you primarily focus on form and technique, however most arts are somewhere in the middle.

What is your fitnesss level and where would you like to see improvement?

What limitation do you have if any?

Is your primary goal fitness or self defense?

Of course any good instructor should ask similar questions if you didn't already consider these before hand.
