What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first start with warm-ups to get the body ready for strenuous activity and demanding stances and movements.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have led various warm ups for other instructors and have taught a beginners course for San Francisco's Free College

What types of students have you worked with?
Beginners. I have a strong foundation in the basics but have not been exposed to advanced techniques
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I trained a class of 2 actors in the basics of movement to give them a basis for stage combat for film. The stunt coordinator was impressed that they had a firm foundation gained from lessons with me
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A willingness to try and humility go a long way in this kind of training
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Injuries. Limited range of movement. Some moves can be strenuous, and one should not power through the pain.
