What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and experience levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who will invest time in you personally. It takes vulnurability to tell stories with your voice so it is important to find a teacher you are comfortable with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider their own goals for taking voice lessons, asking themselves what they are most hoping to get out of the experience. Many singers would say their number one goal is learning how to "sound better," but I like to challenge my students to think beyond that goal - no two singers sound the same. How can we work together to find your special, individual voice?
