About
I am working with young beginners ages 3-8 and adults - at beginner/intermediate level. I teach guitar/piano/voice.
My goal is to find an individual approach to each student and build love and curiosity to music through fun engaging activities.
Teaching Experience
1. 2012-present - Group class instructor: at Opus 1 music studio in Mountain View and Palo Alto, CA. Class description: keyboard-based piano group classes for ages 3-4 and 5-6 year olds.
2. 2013-present - Private piano/guitar/voice teacher at students' homes around the Bay Area - self-employed
3. 2017-2018 teaching group music hour for young children 2-6 year olds at Urban Eco-village preschool, San Jose
2018-present teaching private in-home music lessons via RockHomeLessons

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, we have a trial class where we meet each other, discuss your goals and expectations. Then I teach a demo class, recommend books, etc. if the student continues, my goal is to start the students learning their favorite songs as soon as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master's degree in Education from Kazakhstan state university

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
* Set clear goals for your learning (eg.: get a list of songs you'd like to learn)
* Must have an instrument at home
* Find some time on a regular basis to practice daily
