Teacher has 50 years of professional performances and teaching. Air Force Band Washington, D.C. TV, concerts, recording, and more.
I use modern technology and old school methods to get just the right results. All students excel, but ast their own rate. They stay, the will increase practice as they get better. The must have fun to continue. That means the teacher and parent has to be very patient.

I not only mold musicians, but I help in the raising of the child. It's a village that helps the child grow. I reflect normal ideas that you will believe in, and reinforce with them.
My 50 years of experiece is based on starting at 13. Now i realize that i was not very good then, but i knew then that i wanted to teach.
As an athlete in High School though i started in all three sports, I wanted to coach.
In the Air Force my job was to play guitar, bass, and sing. That was my job. Piano came along around 25 years ago,.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students call to interview. One lesson commitment. Then you can decide. Lesson is not free, but again, you only commit to one lesson to make up your mind.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A lifelong professional player. From 6 nights a week in High School, playing in lounges, to the Air Force Band - Age 17. On and on, never stopping. 20 years after the Air Force in cover bands, now called Tribute Bands. Studying music theory was a must and also a joy from the beginning. I've performed at the White House, Constitution Hall, and even the recording studio for Ed Green, Los Angeles.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are by the HALF HOUR AT $40.
Beginners all take 30 minute lessons - $40.
All advanced students take 60 minute lessons - $80.
Everyone fits in one of the two categories.
How did you get started teaching?
Paul Ryberg, a former Army musician convinced me without saying a word. He was my high school music theory teacher, vocal teacher, and gave me an independent theory class, on his hour off each day, along with Bill Jones and 2 others. Bill ended up playing with Elvis Costello. He was the drummer in the band i played in all thru High School, even the 6 night a week gig as seniors.
