About this pro

“Bringing contemplation, inspiration, and a sense of well-being  to the table”.  I teach yoga, Painting, exercise and healthy living classes.  Learning stillness helps open the pathway to clarity. Being healthy and clear allows a direct download of inspiration - “in sprit”.  In this place, one simply is the hand of spirit. No thinking required. Simply paint, stretch, be well.

I enjoy being in service which is my primary work these days.  Learning to create art is simply about learning to get out of your head and let spirit take over. Being healthy is about eating well, exercising in a gentle restorative fashion, proper rest, and quieting the mind. Doing yoga helps all of the above bringing union and balance within.   Let me assist you in becoming your authentic self.

Laura is very much in tune with the needs of her students and plans her lessons around them. It is mainly an older group class that I'm in and she keeps the exercise at a level that all can succeed at and that is most beneficial to our aging bodies. Of course she still tries to encourage us to reach out just a little more. Laura is very knowledgeable regarding yoga practices and loves to share her knowledge and wisdom with the group.

She was very professional but also personable. Her attention to detail was exceptional.

Very professional but considerate about individuals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Understanding where they are starting at by getting to know their history, sharing a bit of myself so they can know where I am at as a teacher.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been involved in exercise for the majority of my life getting certified as as an exercise specialist, aerobics and yoga instructor.  I’m certified as an herbalist and in process of completing a masters program as an Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine practitioner. I’ve owned and operated a pain and wellness center, an herbal apothecary, and yoga studio. Over the past 6 years I returned to my painting career and utilized my work to inspire and motivate others in seeking their artistic passions.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Group online Yoga classes are $15 per class with private classes at $25 per hour.  Painting classes are also $25 per hour.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching exercise classes when I was still a teenager having discovered a passion for exercise.  When I was married, I went through tons of additional training to get certified as an instructor for our family’s health club. I found yoga in my 40’s and was so impressed with the results, I immediately set out to be certified and have been teaching ever since.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with chronic pain clients, those seeking improved health and wellness, children and elderly.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I love to dance and find freedom in the movement and music.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find some one with expertise and passion for what they do as a teacher and mentor.
