My early background includes classical and contemporary ballet training from Gustafson School of Dance and theater arts in various professional companies in my hometown of Santa Barbara. I received my B.A. in Dance in 2012 from UC Irvine, one of the top dance universities in the country. Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga styles; vinyasa at yoga mayu is predominantly drawn from the Ashtanga and Hatha traditions. The word Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement".
