What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first time you contact HHC, before we even assign your new teacher, we have to have a conversation. We need to learn about your needs and goals as a music student. Once we've had our talk we can pick the perfect teacher for your needs and have them contact you to schedule your first lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We require our teachers to have completed at least a bachelor's degree in music and have demonstrated the ability to teach students to become proficient reading classical music notation for their instrument.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our standard lesson rates are $35/ 30min, $52.50/ 45min and $70/ 60min as of 2017.
Lessons are sold in packages of five.

How did you get started teaching?
Our founder, Marlene Cooper Williams, began teaching piano to fellow college students who were taking music as a requirement for their degrees. Having grown up as a musical child prodigy from the age of four she was already an accomplished musician and has been teaching voice and piano ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
We will work with student of all instruments, skill levels and ages from 4 to 104 as long as they want to learn to play music.
