About
I have a deep passion for the guitar. I have been teaching guitar for over 50 years. 40 of these years I taught at Ventura and Oxnard Community Colleges. I have taught over 10, 000 students to play the guitar. I'm an extremely patient teacher always willing to share my experiences. My main focus is classical guitar. Beginning students are always welcome. Reading standard notation and proper playing technique is emphasized.
I enjoy working with with all types of people. Being that I taught at our local community colleges for over 38 years both privately and class room instruction I've learned to be extremely resourceful with my teaching skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Being extremely patient. Giving students extra time for lessons at no extra cost. Walk them through every detail to make sure they are comprehending.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor in the Fine Arts from California Institute of The Arts 1978,Classical guitar performance.
Attened and participated in Master Classes with Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, Christopher Parkening and Alexander Lagoya.
