In all honesty, I think you would have to train with me to answer that question. The question asks a matter of opinion; an opinion being a belief or perspective not necessarily built on fact or knowledge. No point in humble bragging. Come and meet me and we can talk about what you are in need of and what you are looking for.
I enjoy most, seeing the process of maturing each person goes through in training and reaching their goals.
I appreciate the family/home environment. I have been with Genesis since it was called Grudge. I have the privilege of working directly with Coach Jake Ramos, Coach Danielle Avalon’s-Saiz, Coach Steve Montoya , Professional Boxer Kim Mc Donough and Professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter Rakan Adwan. They are all great Coaches and are bar none the best to have in your corner. 🥊
Kim is an excellent and extreamley experienced trainer who understands not only the physical and technical aspects of boxing and martial arts also understands the mental and psychological aspects of the game. Whether u looking to get in shape or looking to compete in amature or professional boxing kim will make u better. He is an excellent coach and a student of the game I have been active in martial arts my whole life and both kim and the Genesis style are by far the most well educated and talented coaches in the game and is the pedigree of champions. You will not be disapointed
I like to start with basics to begin getting familiar with my client. From there we develop a system based off of them. Sorry, no cliche "get to know you" lines here. If you dont know what the basics are, of human relationships, I recommend taking a class or something on it.

With psychological manipulation being the basis of modern marketing and advertising, I recommend the following...
I recommend that you go and meet them and ask questions.
Observe whether or not they ask you questions.
Try out a session to see if you are comfortable with your instructor, environment and material.
The most important thing I have learned in finding a place to train is, follow your gut instinct, not the person, your feelings/emotions or promises they make. Many martial arts instructors these days are dishonest and will say whatever they need to say to get you to sign up.
Also, I do not recommend training with people that say, "they will do WHATEVER it takes to reach their goals." that is a statement of a person that lacks discernement and conscience, always driven by egocentric motives. That type of thinking is very dangerous when dealing with something such as martial arts. It is literally the thinking patterns and words of a psychopath, "do WHATEVER IT TAKES".
You will be at peace internally when you are at the place that is for you.
As JFK said, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". What journey will you embark on next? Just take that first step and get in the door!!
ask yourself the following.
Do I have any medical and/or mental conditions that could be complicated by training?
Do I vibe with the environment and trainer?
Am I and will I take full responsibility for mychoices and actions and the consequences thereof??
What am I willing to sacrifice in order to afford my sessions to reach my goals? (sacrifice those 10 fuckin starbucks coffees you get a week and put that money towards your sessions. quit buying junk food or material nicnaks you dont need and put that money towards your health and training etc)
Do I feel that this person can help me reach my goals?
what is more important to me? being buddy buddy comfortable with my trainer, or having that trainer that makes me a little uncomfortable challenging me out of my comfort zone??
Is this an activity that I can separate business from personal? Do I want a trainer that separates business from personal or not?
Am I here to feel good about myself(validation seeking) or am I here to change myself? (if you are there to feel good about your failures, you most likely will struggle big time in reaching your goals)
