Ann says, "“Surprisingly, Yoga makes me feel like as if I am unfolding and growing like a flower. When the hour and a half of stretches, deep breaths and twists and turns are done, I have moved into a new organic state of being. Our class is called “therapeutic yoga” which means it is just right for us geezers who are not ready to twist ourselves into a bow. Our teacher Makaan Burt , gently introduces us to both the exercises and the culture and language of yoga. It was the next best thing to gardening.”" Read more

Meredith A. says, "I had a great experience working with Dr. Jaffri. Learning self-defense means putting yourself in uncomfortable situations, and Dr. Jaffri patiently teaches you how to handle those situations. He goes at your pace but also pushes you to learn new skills. I am much more aware of my surroundings now and feel confident about my ability to defend myself if the need arises. After about two months, I have had great results with Makaan’s Joint Class at the Lafayette YMCA. I have had one knee and two hips replaced, and with his leadership my very achey/painful IT band on my left leg has eased off considerably and remarkably (80% less pain). His exercises have helped my aching shoulders which used to make it impossible for me to put on a jacket by reaching behind my back. His routine is logical, and I can remember it at home–starting at my head, working down to my feet, then back to the hips and shoulders on the roller. Makaan asks his students what is bothering them to gives us exercises to help us with our aches of the day’!

Ali is such a genuine person. He does this because he actually cares. I love his teaching method. He builds on what you’ve already learned to really increase that muscle memory. Somethings are repetitive, because they need to be, but never boring. He’s no drill sergeant, but he will make you work. He instills very serious knowledge in a fun way. He’s super professional and I’ve never felt uncomfortable (which is very important when you’re working through these scenarios). I’m so grateful to be taking these classes. I’ve noticed a huge boost in my confidence just knowing that I’m equipped to handle any situation. I 1000% recommend taking Self Defense classes with Dr. Ali Jaffri!

I’m 23, male, average weight. I completed training with “The Warriors Way” and it put me in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I’ve always been moderately active, but this program was really hard for me at first. It kicked my butt, and kicked me into shape. After working out with the Warriors Way I was in the best shape of my life! It really slims you down and tones you up! I really feel that coach Beto changed my fitness forever. My cardio, strength, and endurance have all been better after this intense training. Now thanks to this, I bounce back faster and easier when I’ve gone weeks without exercise. I know that if I do this workout, it will be worth my while. It’s always challenging, never boring, and I always feel accomplished afterwards.
